- The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority for FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Pangborn Corporation is considered the only vendor who can supply one vibratory/oscillating conveyor system to replace an existing conveyor. Pangborn is the OEM of the machine containing the conveyor system. This conveyor is an integral part of the machine. The OEM has the knowledge to insure the new conveyor is set-up correctly to work with the machine. Parameters including conveying speed, vibratory forces and the interface to the rest of the machine are only known to the OEM. The parameters are essential to the proper operation and longevity of the equipment. The applicable North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 332312.
