- The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to SSS Clutch Company for the following service: Overhaul of NR2 SSS clutch. To be performed on board the USCGC Jarvis (WHEC 725). These services/ parts are to be received by USCGC Jarvis (WHEC 725) and will be provided by SSS Clutch Company who is to be awarded this contract because at this time the material and services for this repair require parts and specialty knowledge from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). SSS Clutch Company is the OEM and does not authorize third party manufacturers to procure their parts. SSS Clutch Company is the only known source who can provide these service/parts. They own the manuals, publications & drawings to which the Coast Guard does not have any rights to SSS Clutch Company is the sole proprietor. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC Jarvis (WHEC 725). Vendor will provide all the parts listed in the Schedule of items. NAICS Code # 333613 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0900am PST on 16, April 2012 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
