Description
DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS SEEKS EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR LEASE SPACE The U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) seeks to lease approximately 28,700 BOMA usable square feet of contiguous space for an Outpatient Clinic in Boston, MA. The offered space shall be contiguous and located on one or no more than two elevator-served floors. A lease term of 20-years is required. Parking for patients, staff and visitors is required to be available in the general area. Properties within the following delineated area will be considered: Start at the intersection of Route 28 and Shore Drive in Charlestown, MA; trace the shore line southeast to North Washington Street; cross the Charlestown Bridge; trace the Boston Coast line east into Fort Point Channel; trace the Fort Point Channel to Fan Pier Plaza and around the coast of the Seaport District, Dry Dock Park Plaza, to the Marine Industrial Park; proceed southwest on Summer Street to E. 1st St; proceed west on E. 1st St to W. 1st St.; proceed southeast on W. 1st St. to Dorchester St.; proceed southwest on Dorchester St. to Southampton Street; proceed northwest on Massachusetts Ave. to Columbus Ave.; proceed northeast on Columbus Ave to the intersection of Arlington Street and Stuart Street; continue east onto Stuart Street to Charles Street; proceed north on Charles Street to Beacon Street; proceed east on Beacon Street to Bowdoin Street; proceed north on Bowdoin Street to Cambridge Street; proceed west on Cambridge Street to the Boston coastline; follow the coastline north to Monsignor O ™Brien Highway; proceed on Monsignor O ™Brien Highway/McGrath Highway/Route 28 over the bridge and back to the original starting point at the intersection of Route 28 and Shore Drive in Charlestown. Properties with frontage on streets comprising these boundaries will also be considered. Existing buildings offered for consideration must be of sound and substantial construction of the type generally recognized as contemporary with the ability to meet all current Federal, VA, State, and Local codes and regulations at the time of occupancy. Guidelines will be provided during the solicitation for offers process. Expressions of interest must be submitted in writing and should include: building name, address, and age; total usable square footage available (ANSI/BOMA); date of space availability to commence tenant improvements; proximity to public transportation, parking and commercial services such as restaurants, banks, drugstores.
