- Description
- The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center is seeking a Mental Health transitional living contractor who can deliver transitional living, emergency housing (if available), and services consistent with Health Care for Homeless (HCHV) contract objectives which emphasizes the Housing First and Recovery Models to homeless Veterans. It is understood that the type of Veterans to be cared for under this contract will require therapeutic and rehabilitative services over and above the level of room and board. Currently, approximately 67.8% of homeless Veterans in the Jack Montgomery service area suffer from a severe mental illness and 79.3% suffer from a substance use disorder. Because of the aforementioned statistics, it is imperative that supportive housing services are implemented. As a result, transitional living for homeless Veterans which provides therapeutic and rehabilitative services would encourage a more adaptive level of psychosocial functioning. The contractor's community housing facility must be located within a 50 mile radius of the VA Behavior Medicine Clinic located in the Guaranty Building at 10159 East 11th Street, Tulsa, OK 74128. It is expected this contract will be a firm fixed-price contract. The Contractor shall be required to furnish all necessary and appropriate labor, supervision, materials, equipment, supplies, and housing to supply the services required for this contract. The solicitation will be available on or about March 12, 2012. Solicitation, amendments and other miscellaneous documents shall be posted on FedBizOpps (http://www.fbo.gov).
