- Description
- The Smithsonian Institution intends to issue a Request for Proposals ("RFP") from cultural attraction/nonprofit retail operators in late April 2012. The Smithsonian is seeking to outsource its museum store/retail store operations in the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) and National Portrait Gallery (NPG) (collectively, the "Museums"), located in the Donald W. Reynolds Center (DWRC), and in the Renwick Gallery, located on Pennsylvania Avenue NW at 17th Street (collectively, the "Stores"). The successful RFP respondent will be required to assume full operation of the Stores as will be further set forth in the RFP. A site visit is anticipated to be scheduled in early May.
