- Description
- The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky has a requirement for a vendor to supply and install a 208V 120KW Electric Steam Generator Equipment located near the SPS department at VA Medical Center, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY. The steam generator must provide high quality steam (97% vapor quality) clean steam needed to power connected medical sterilizers. Must have automatic controls including heating section water level control and steam pressure controls for controlling operating pressure and monitor high pressure limits. Must have auxiliary low water cut off features that turns off the heating element in event of water level control failure. The heating section must be insulated with a minimum of 2" of insulation. The steam output for the 120 KW must be capable of greater than 35 lbs per hour. System must have an automatic descaling, flush, and drain capability. This requirement is being set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businessess under the authority of 38 U.S.C 8127 (d). To be eligible for award vendors must be CVE verified in the Vendor Information Pages at the time of submission of offer, as well as prior to award. NAICS code 811219 is applicable to this requirement. The business size standard is $19M. Request For Quotes (RFQ) available for download at www.fbo.gov on or before 4/13/2012.
