- NASA/GSFC has a requirement: For maintenance and technical support of the NASA/GSFCGlobal Position System (GPS) Test Facility Simulators. NASA/GSFC intends to procure services from Spirent Federal Systems. It is ourunderstanding that Spirent Federal Systems is the only vendor that can provide theexpertise that will cover the STR4760 and GS7750-L5 simulator system maintenance.DO Rating is DO-C9. This synopsis shall not be construed as a commitment by theGovernment, nor will the Government pay for the information solicited.Questions regarding this acquisition must be directed to the attention of Kimber Russellvia e-mail at Kimber.R.Russell@nasa.gov or via facsimile at (301) 286-9159 by 11:00amEST, April 22, 2012. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 11:00am EST, April18, 2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. It is thebidders responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments. Potentialquoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice.A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the Government.Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An ombudsman has been appointed.
