Description
The James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, Tennessee has a requirement for a contractor to provide design and construction services for Project #621-11-113, Design/Build Building 200 Ground Floor Dialysis and Respiratory Unit. The design build will allocate additional space for dialysis treatment areas and incorporate specialized storage, patient privacy, and work areas for staff as part of the design initiative. The project will convert approximately 2,000 square feet of existing clinics, offices and support spaces into modern and efficient clinical and storage space and make various repairs. The work will include correction of restroom accessibility, plumbing, oxygen and gas, interior finishes for floors, walls and ceilings, interior signage and way-finding, electrical, mechanical ventilation system ductwork, air handling equipment and piping. By this Design Build project, Mountain Home intends to fully redesign and build both Dialysis Clinic and Respiratory Care storage spaces. Operations for these two adjoining services are currently housed in approximately 2,000 square feet of inefficiently used space. This project will reallocate space within the existing footprint in efforts to improve functionality for both services, while keeping patient centered care as its main initiative. Improvements made within the area will provide additional treatment space for Dialysis patients while improving work-related functionality and storage capabilities for the department's equipment and supplies. Respiratory Care will be reorganized to better utilize its designated storage space. NAICS code 236220 is applicable to this requirement. The Business size standard is $33.5M. The period of performance is 180 Calendar Days from receipt of Notice To Proceed. The construction price range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation, drawings and specifications to be available for download on or before April 27,2012. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns under the authority of 38 U.S.C 8127(d). In order to be eligible to submit an offer for consideration a SDVOSB must be listed and viewable in the Vendor Information Pages at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov, as this will be verified at the time of receipt of an offer, as well as prior to award.
