- The VISN 18 Network Contracting Office is planning to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to obtain services for preventative maintenance and repair service to the medical beds and mattresses for the VA Health Care Hospitals Arizona. The Northern Arizona VA Health Care System is located in Prescott, AZ, The Phoenix VA Health Care System is located in Phoenix, AZ and the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System is located in Tucson, AZ is anticipating a firm fixed priced price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract to support the Bio-Medical Department need to repair the hospital medical beds and mattresses. Multiple awards may be made. The solicitation number is VA258-R-0295. This solicitation is set aside to Veteran Owned Small Business. The solicitation will be released on or about April 12, 2012 with proposals due April 30, 2012. The contract will be for a base period through September 30, 2012 with four one year options. The NAICS is 811219 and the size standard is $19 million Services shall ensure that the medical beds and mattresses functions in conformance with the latest published edition of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Health Care Facilities Code ( NFPA-99), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), Joint Commission (JC) and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications.
