- Solicitation Number: VA101-12-Q-0072 Notice Type: Presolicitation/Synopsis: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Administration's (OA), Procurement Div. together with the Office of Security and Law Enforcement intends to solicit, on a sole source basis for Law Enforcement Electronic Access and Interface for Criminal History. O/A's Procurement Div. intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to The International Justice and Public Safety Network, formerly known as the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System, Inc. (NLETS), 1918 W Whispering Wind DR., Phoenix, AZ 85085-1867 for a six (6) months period. Nlets' primary function is to provide a message switching service interconnecting to State and Federal law enforcement/criminal justice agencies nationwide (to include the District of Columbia, Alaska, Hawaii; Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, Canada, Mexico, and Interpol for law enforcement entities. The estimated award date is April 25, 2012. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source." The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) for this effort is 519190. This notification shall close on April 21, 2012.
