- This announcement is a Pre-Solicitation Notice only and proposals are not being requested at this time. The National Park Service anticipates issuing a solicitation on or about April 27, 2012. This project is being 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses. Project Description: Provide all design, labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to design, provide, and install automatic wet pipe (antifreeze) and dry pipe fire suppression systems, to include buried and aboveground distribution piping, and other related items, for complete coverage of three (3) park buildings which are managed as historic structures. The systems shall be designed and installed in accordance with National Fire Protection Association codes and standards identified in the specification, National Park Service standards, and the Secretary of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, in consultation with the park historic architect. The buildings, located in the Sunrise Area on the east side of Mount Rainier National Park (elevation 6400ft.) are:1. Visitor Center (Assembly and Business) - NFPA 13 [Dry Pipe] 2. North Blockhouse (Apartment) - NFPA 13R [Antifreeze]3. South Blockhouse (Lodging and Rooming) - NFPA 13R [Antifreeze] The NAICS code is 238210. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. This is a best value procurement that is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside with a Small Business Size Standard of $14.0M.. All work will be performed under a single Firm-Fixed Price construction contract subject to the Davis-Bacon Act in accordance with FAR 36.204. The solicitation, P12PS20449, with specifications, drawings and wage rates will be posted to www.fbo.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about April 27, 2012. All offerors must establish and/or maintain an active registration at http://www.ccr.gov and complete the online representations and certifications at https://orca.bpn.gov prior to the closing date of the solicitation.
