- Description
- The intent of this project is to provide for road decommissioning of forest roads on the Skykomish Ranger District of the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. The construction includes culvert removal, excavation, roadway obliteration, side-cast pullback, road closures, and re-establishment of stream channels. Disturbed areas will be seeded and mulched. District maps showing the road systems are available for viewing at the Forest Service district offices located in Skykomish, North Bend, or Enumclaw. The project area can be reached by travelling west on Hwy 2 beyond the Skykomish Ranger Station for approximately 0.6 miles, turning right onto Forest Service Road 65, Beckler Road. Continue on Beckler Road for approximately 7.0 miles and turn right onto FSR 6020 for approximately 2.7 miles and at the Y intersection, take the right (south) road, FSR 6022. Continue on FSR 6022 for approximately 2.9 miles to the first project location FSR 6022-310. The estimated issue date of the solicitation will be early June 2012.
