- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District requires a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business contractor to provide Dike Raising and Weir Improvements, Jasper County, South Carolina. Procurement of these services will result in a fixed price contract. The Contract is for the 12A Dike Raising and Weir Improvements and Birds Island. The materials inside 12A disposal area consist of soft, silty soils, inter-bedded with sand lenses; the disposal area overlies marsh deposits. The Contractor performing the clearing grubbing, ditching, excavating, and material placement shall have specialized experience in the process of working in soft, silty soils, inter-bedded with sand lenses that overlie marsh deposits. The Contractors will be evaluated on at least two (2) or more similar projects which were successfully completed or substantially completed in the last eight (8) years that demonstrate the Offeror's specialized experience with work similar to this solicitation. The Contractor shall provide references with a telephone number for the two (2) similar successfully completed projects. Estimated cost range of this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The contract will be solicited and procured using an Invitation for Bids (IFB) in accordance with FAR Part 14. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 27 April 12. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. This solicitation is Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. All responsible service disabled veteran owned small businesses may submit a bid, which if responsive, shall be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, and size standard is $22,000,000.00. This project may include Options. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored. Offerors must register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at www.ccr.gov. After completing CCR, in order to download IFB documents contractors and their subcontractors must register at www.fbo.gov. Contractors with existing FedTeds logins should be able to use their existing logins. In order to locate solicitation Contractors can go to FedBizOpps and search for the solicitation number at www.fedbizopps.gov. Contractors can register to be put on a plan holders list that others can access through the FedBizOpps site. It is the Offerors responsibility to check the Internet address provided as necessary for any posted changes to this solicitation and all amendments.
