- Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Installation Contracting Office, Fort Gordon, GA intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with Becker Complete Compactor for the following items: RJ250SC-34 yd Refuse Compactor which is fully compatible with pre-existing equipment. Technical specifications/considerations for the required compactor should include a fully enclosed free standing "doghouse" tack welded on unit legs. The sonic sensor must be mounted on the doghouse door, and have a 40 gallon reservoir. The disintegrator and compactor should function together by refuse being pulverized by the disintegrator, flowing through a 6-7 inch pipe from the disintegrator to the fan tower/air filtration system. The filtration system should push the pulverized refuse to the doghouse, thus allowing it to enter the compactor. The sensor should pick up the refuse, and allow entrance into the compactor without the necessity of manual manipulation. Oversized fee opening and expanded container storage capacity should offer continuous feeding capability even while unit is operating. The NAICS code is 562998. The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written responses are received by 26 Apr 2012, award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
