- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Requisition Number W81EWF20691101 is being issued as a request for quotes (RFQ) with intent to award as a simplified acquisition. The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-53. This requirement is set under NAICS Code 334513 with a size standard of 500 employees. The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) at Waterways Experiment Station (WES), Vicksburg, MS, Environmental Laboratory (EL) has a requirement for the following: The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Centers (ERDC) Soil and Sediment Geochemistry Team (SSGT) needs to purchase four fraction collecting units. This will be delivered to Engineer Research and Development Center, 3909 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180-6199. Requirements are given below: CLIN 0001 Fraction Collecting Unit - Qty: 4 CLIN 0002 Sampling Rack with tube size 12mm - Qty: 4 CLIN 0003 Sampling Rack with tube size 13 mm - Qty:4 CLIN 0004 Sampling Rack with tube size 18 mm - Qty:4 CLIN 0005 Sampling Rack with tube size 28 mm - Qty:4 Price must include shipping, FOB Destination. FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall submit technical data on the items quoted. FAR Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote is determined to be Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. REQUIREMENTS: The fraction collectors must meet the following specifications: a.Capability of achieving flow rates as little as 0.5 mL/min and up to 125 mL/min. b.Variety of sampling size racks that can be purchased at a later time. c.Ability to divert flows between samples of interest to "waste" containers or tubes. d.Stand-alone unit capable of operation without external computer. e.Included sampling racks with tube sizes 12 mm, 13 mm, 28 mm, and 18 mm holding volumes of 5 mL, 9 mL, 20 mL, and 32 mL respectively. f.Tray to contain spills. Offerors must include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3 Alt I, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Supplement to FAR 52.212-5: The following FAR clauses are applicable to this acquisition: 52.222-3, 52.219-6, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13 and 52.232-33.
