- NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PACKAGING/LABELING REQUIREMENT DRAWINGS/SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE WIND SCREEN/WIND SHIELD RFQ FOR THE WIND SCREEN PANEL AND WIND SHIELD The U. S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to solicit for purchase of 150 each, Windscreen Panel, 47.5 x 17 inches, IAW Drawing No. 62828-90191-3, NSN: 5975-01-432-3074 and 25 each, Windshield, AHTB, IAW Drawing No. 62828-90191-1, NSN: 6660-01-390-9548. These items are being purchased for the National Weather Service (NWS), Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS) spare parts program to be delivered to the National Logistics Support Center, Kansas City, MO. The supplies are to be shipped on a FOB Destination basis. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The Government may require first article testing under this requirement. The NAICS code for this action is 335999. The NWS special packaging/marking requirement will be applicable. The Eastern Region Acquisition Division-Kansas City requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUN). The Request for Quotation (RFQ) (No. WC133W12RQ0207), drawings, and packaging/marking requirements are attached to this notice. All interested parties are required to sign and date the quotes before submitting to the U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA/ERAD, ATTN: Karen Christian, Room 1756, 601 East 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106. Quotes must be received on or before the closing date and time referenced on the solicitation. Quotes may be sent by either email to karen.l.christian@noaa.gov or faxed to 816-274-6952.
