- THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SET ASIDE SMALL BUSINESS. The National Cemetery Administration will be soliciting offers under solicitation number VA786-12-R-0116 for the supply of I1, Blank Marble Niche Cover Columbaria (approx. 800) to: Miramar National Cemetery 5795 Nobel Drive San Diego, CA 92122 (858) 658-7360 The NAICS Code is 327991 and the size standard is 500 employees. The period of performance will be from date of award through 30 days, no options. The purpose of this contract is to supply blank marble columbarium niche covers for use as replacements, therefore marble must be comparable in color and shading to the existing marble niche covers mounted on columbaria at above cemetery. The marble must match existing material having characteristics of marble from Alabama. Marble shall be white and free from cracks, spalls, chips, holes; calcite lines more than two inches in length, open seams, pits, or other defects that would impair its strength, durability or appearance. The overall whiteness of the marble exclusive of allowable coloration shall be N9 or higher as judged against the (Munsell Neutral Value Scale, Matte 31 - step scale. All stone shall be obtained from quarries within the United States of America, having adequate capacity and facilities to meet the specified requirements. Cutting and finishing shall be done by a manufacturer equipped to process the material promptly and in strict accordance with these specifications. Electronic solicitations will be available for download from http://www.fbo.gov on or about April 11, 2012. Responses to the solicitation are due on or about 2:00 P.M. April 25, 2012. Any amendments to the solicitation will also be available at www.fbo.gov. Offerors are advised they are responsible for obtaining any amendments.
