- Estimated issue date April 26, 2012 and estimated closing/response date May 29, 2012 PR#: FD2030-12-70839 RFP#: SPRTA1-12-R-0270 Nomenclature/Noun: Hydraulic Drive Unit used on the B-2 Aircraft, NSN 1650-01-430-2135FW. AMC: 4B History: No prior manufacturing history. The estimated unit price is $1,974,311.70. L/I 0001 - The maximum quantity is 14. Mandatory Language: Note: Item Description: Length 3.0 feet, Height 3.0 feet, Width 2.0 feet, Weight 300 (LB). Item Function: The PDU converts Aircraft Hydraulic power into mechanical power, supplying torque and rotation to the weapon bay doors. Material: Unknown. Currently Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation (Cage 99167) is the only known source that can satisfy the Government requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firms(s) listed: Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation (Cage 99167). An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government Personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposal or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 734-8241. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER FOR SOLICITATION REQUESTS. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. The proposed contract is restricted to domestic sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-3. Accordingly, foreign sources, except Canadian sources are not eligible for award.
