- Note: Sources Sought Notice posted on fbo.gov January 9, 2012. The G. V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center (Jackson VAMC) serves a Veteran/patient population of approximately 45,000 people throughout Mississippi. The Jackson campus is considered the main facility, in addition, there are seven Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) located from North to South Mississippi. The Jackson hospital is defined as a Level IB facility based on inpatient acute care, ICU, and Surgical capabilities. The Emergency Department is defined as Level III and its specific role is to provide acute/critical care services in support of the main campus and the CBOCs, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The Jackson VAMC has a requirement for a service contract to support Emergency Department operations. The resulting contract shall provide Emergency Department Physicians (2FTEE) and a Medical Director (1FTEE) as follows: Emergency Department Physician coverage Monday through Friday 6:00pm-7:00am; 24 hour coverage on Saturday and Sunday and Federal Holidays. An Emergency Department Director shall provide coverage Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. The contractor will also assure that the Emergency Department is fully staffed Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm by providing coverage during planned absences of the permanent VA staff. The resulting contract will be a non-personal health care resource services contract. All personnel assigned must be Physicians licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. All license held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted. In addition to license, physicians must be board certified, and have current ACLS, Airway Management and DEA certifications. Proof of current malpractice insurance/medical liability insurance is required. The Emergency Department Director shall be certified in Emergency Medicine. The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15 (CONTRACTING BY NEGOTIATION) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. THIS REQUIREMENT IS A TOTAL SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The applicable NAICS code is 621111. The small business size standard is $10 million. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract consisting of a base period and four-one year option periods. The solicitation will be available for download on this website on or about March 27, 2012. These dates are not firm and may change due to events beyond the Government ™s control. Dissemination is limited to electronic medium. Hard copies will not be provided. Interested parties are responsible for obtaining any amendments to the solicitation from this website. This notice is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation. No bid list is maintained. Verbal questions will not be addressed.
