- The U.S. Census Bureau intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, based on the need for continuity. The Census Bureau intends to solicit and negotiate with the University of Maryland, 3112 Lee Building, College Park, MD to continue development, enhancement, and maintenance of a curriculum of courses specialized in the field of survey methodology to support the Federal Government. These services continue to be required to meet the Census Bureau's need for training professionals in the emerging interdisciplinary field of survey research and methodology. The contract will cover a base period of performance from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013, and include four one-year option periods. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, provided it is received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination by the Census Bureau not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Census Bureau. Responses to this notice are due on or before 4:30 p.m. EST on April 25, 2012 via email to donna.cornish@census.gov.
