- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) seeks Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) Partners that possess the expertise, capabilities, facilities, and experience in the field of antimicrobial product efficacy testing and virology, including method development and validation. This notice serves as sources sought synopsis seeking information from companies capable of providing efficacy test capabilities compliant with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines as well as well-controlled test method development and non-GLP procedures. Candidate companies must also have extensive virology assets including laboratory facilities and experienced personnel for the testing of disinfectants or other products against a wide variety of virus types. Experience with product registration testing to comply with EPA and/or FDA requirements as well as experience and facilities suitable for testing products against fungi (i.e. molds) is also desired. Any company that believes it has the ability to perform the desired product efficacy testing with microorganisms can identify its capabilities by submitting the information to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Code Z21, 4045 Higley Road, Suite 345, Dahlgren, VA, 22448. Alternatively, electronic responses can be submitted via email to DLGR_NSWC_Z21@navy.mil or DLGR_NSWC_Z20@navy.mil. The information submitted should include a capabilities statement, management chart, breakdown of personnel and facilities available to be utilized, and relevant past work in similar areas. Responses are requested by 1200 (noon) EST on 30 April 2012. After reviewing the responses, NSWCDD may request a meeting or teleconference with responding companies to gain further insight into their capabilities. NSWCDD is not obligated to hold these meetings with any or all respondents. If NSWCDD decides to meet with a company, it will only meet with those that responded to this notice. NSWCDD will not reimburse costs for participation in these meetings or teleconferences. NSWCDD does not intend to pay for the information received. This is neither a Request for Proposals nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of selecting a CRADA Partner having the ability and capability to Partner with NSWCDD.
