- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential sources to perform document destruction services. Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Businesses; Veteran-Owned Small Business; or Small Business demonstrating capability of providing document shredding services will be given first consideration. Potential offerors are invited to provide feedback via email to Jean Olson at jean.olson2@va.gov. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Requirement: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits, Fort Harrison, Montana, Regional Office is seeking potential sources capable of providing on-site document destruction services on a monthly basis. Documents shall be shredded in strict accordance with all HIPPA, VA Security and Privacy Laws and Policies, and NIST policies. Contractor shall provide documentation of certifications and training appropriate for this task. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the exception of Federal Holidays. At a minimum, potential offerors shall provide the following information to Jean Olson at jean.olson2@va.gov.: 1.Offeror's name, address, point of contact name, telephone number, and email address. 2.Business type, size and company's Dun & Bradstreet Number. 3.Offeror's interest in bidding on the solicitation when issued. 4.Capability statement with enough information to determine that the company is capable of meeting the requirement. The capability statement for this sources sought notice is not expected to be a Request for Proposal, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition, but shall be a short statement regarding the company's ability to provide required services. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The North American Industry Classification for this requirement is 562111. Respondees should identify their socio-economic classification. Contract period shall be from date of award through September 30, 2012, with (4) one-year option periods. All interested contractors should notify this office in writing or via email by 4:00 p.m. on 18 APR 2012.
