- The Department of Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Washington is interested in gaining knowledge of potential qualified Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, including 8(a) Certified, HUBZone Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business firms capable of performing the following work: Duties include the specification, collection, creation, modification, organization, sustainment, and security of paper and electronic data, documents, drawings, images, and non-documented knowledge. PWD facility information includes diverse types of information including, but not limited to 2D/3D drawings, design drawings, engineering drawings, submittals, studies, reports, contract documents, correspondence, artifacts, databases, film/video, photos, multimedia, and other forms of information. The work under this contract will be performed predominately in the Navy activities in support of the Commander, Public Works Department (PWD) Washington, Washington Navy Yard, Washington DC. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) Code for this project is 541611 with a corresponding size standard of $7 million. All identified small businesses are encouraged to respond to this Sources Sought Notice. Contractors are reminded that THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified small business sources capable of performing the described work. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice shall not constitute responses to the solicitation, which is not currently available. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement package, no more than 6 pages in length including all attachments, (single-spaced, 12-point font minimum) that clearly details the firm s ability to perform the aspects of the tasks described above. The package must include the following: (1) Demonstrated experience in performing efforts of similar size, scope and complexity within the last three years. Each project description should include the contract number, your company s role (prime or subcontractor), contract value, Government/Agency point of contact and current telephone number. If necessary, you may include a brief description of how the contract(s) referenced relate(s) to the technical services described herein; and (2) Company Profile to include certifications, number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE code, and a statement regarding small business designation and status. The deadline for receipt of capabilities statement packages is 20 April 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern.
