- Description of the work: The contractor will provide all packing service inclusive of labor, equipment, material and services necessary to provide animal hauling and packing services to areas within the park. At the park's request, the contractor will provide conditioning and training to park stock. Location: The worksite is located in Pima County, Arizona, within the Saguaro National Park, East and West Districts. The park brackets either side of the City of Tucson, Arizona. The Tucson Mountain District, or Saguaro West, and the Rincon Mountain District, or Saguaro East, are approximately 30 miles and one hour driving time apart. These two districts offer more than 165 miles (264km) of hiking trails. Solicitation and period of performance dates: The solicitation will be issued and available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about 04/06/12. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Individual requests for solicitation packages will NOT be accepted. The Solicitation Number for the Request for Quotation (RFQ) is P12PS22441. Responses to the RFQ will be due no later than 11:59 PM on 04/25/12. The estimated date for the award will be the week of 05/07/12. The period of on-site performance will be for a 12-month period, estimated to begin on 05/13/12, and final completion is estimated to be no later than 05/12/13. Contract structure: The Government contemplates award of a Single Award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract resulting from this solicitation for a period of one year. Task Orders will be placed with one successful contractor throughout the life of the contract, with no further competition at the Task Order level, regardless of amount ordered. The NAICS code for this project is 488999 and the small business size standard is $7 million. This procurement is 100% Set-aside for Small Business, and the National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged, service disabled veteran owned, and women-owned business enterprises.
