DESCRIPTION: HOSE EXHAUST CLAMP (4730-01-462-4023) Description: NSN 4730-01-462-4023/HOSE EXHAUST CLAMP approved sources are: W.S. DARLEY & CO, P/N: 4402311. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This NSN goes to various defense depot locations. There also a base and one option year which may or may not be exercised by the Government. FOB Destination and inspection acceptance at destination is required. This solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date of April 6, 2012. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. There are no technical drawings/bid sets available. This NSN is a restricted source. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, and past performance. The required delivery is 60 days. Note 26, this item has been determined not to be a commercial part; therefore, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12 in its solicitation for this item. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item with 15 days of this notice. Be aware that the Government has no technical data and in order for your commercial part to be evaluated you must provide technical data for both the part you are offering and the already approved part. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. Information submitted should be pertinent and specific in the technical area under consideration, on each of the following qualifications: (1) Experience: An outline of previous projects, specific work previously performed or being performed and any inhouse research and development effort; (2) Personnel: Name, professional qualifications and specific experience of scientist, engineers and technical personnel who may be assigned as a principal investigator and/or project officer; (3) Facilities: Availability and description of special facilities required to perform in the technical areas under consideration.
