- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (Not a Notice of Solicitation) The United States Air Force, ASC/Operational Contracting Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio is seeking potential sources that are capable of providing Sound Silencer Custom Cut Ceiling Panels. Firms responding should specify that their Sound Silencer Custom Cut Ceiling Panels meet the specifications provided below and provide detailed product information to show clear technical compliance. Additionally, sales history including recent commercial companies sold to should be included to determine commerciality. The required specifications for the Sound Silencer Custom Cut Ceiling Panels are as follows: Sound Silencer Custom Cut Ceiling Panels These characteristics are required for the Sound Silencer Custom Cut Ceiling Panels a. Must be dust free (possibly plastic), light weight construction material with sound absorption feature. Panels cannot be made of sheet metal or very dense plastic material. Any porous material will be sufficient. b. Must be white in color c. Thickness must be 0.5000 - 1.000 inch d. Must be custom cut to specified sizes (see item e) with tolerance +/- 0.050 inch e. Must be able to provide ceiling panels with the quantities and dimensions below Quantity Description 26 48" by 24" Ceiling Panels 418 48" by 23" Ceiling Panels 422 48" by 13-1/2" Ceiling Panels 2 48" by 8-1/2" Ceiling Panels 4 48" by 4-3/4" Ceiling Panels Firms responding should indicate whether they are a large or small business. If a small business, please specify the type (e.g. SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), SDB, WOSB, VOSB, etc.). The general definition of a small business is one that is independently owned and operated, is not dominant in the field of operation in which it is proposing on Air Force contracts and with its affiliates; and the average number of employees does not exceed 100. NAICS Code to be used for this acquisition is 423330 "Roofing, Siding, and Insulation Material Merchant Wholesalers". The Air Force reserves the right to consider a set-aside based upon responses hereto for any subsequent acquisition. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a Foreign-owned/Foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort. FOB Destination. Payment terms by Government Credit card or Wide Area Work Flow Acceptance. Net 30 days. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this synopsis as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any government assessments. The Government's evaluation of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business designation (e.g. SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), SDB, WOSB, VOSB, etc.).
