- Description
- The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound has a requirement, in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, to provide weld repairs to one each class rudder stock from USS Ronald Reagan. Period of performance is 5/23/2012 through 23 June 2012. Weld repairs shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-2191-ACN-1. All nondestructive testing (NDT) shall be in accordance with NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271. The contractor shall accomplish weld repair, stress relief, rough machining, visual inspection (VT), magnetic particle (MT) testing and ultrasonic testing (UT) for a CVN-68 class rudder stock, quantity one each port and one each starboard at contractor ™s facility. The contractor shall use NAVSEA drawing No. 119-6659793, Rev E. The rudder stock is piece 1 and piece 30 of NAVSEA drawing No. 119-6659793, Rev E. The specific work statement and drawing information for the required services will be issued on an individual solicitation and posted to the NECO website. This requirement to be solicited on an unrestricted basis using commercial procedures in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15 utilizing Low Price Technically Acceptable evaluation factors resulting in award of a Firm-Fixed Price, Service type contract. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: https://www.neco.navy.mil. The anticipated posting date of the solicitation is on or about 09 April 2012 with a closing on 10 May 2012. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offerors to access the posted documents. Prospective offerors should register themselves on the NECO website. No telephone or FAX requests will be accepted, and no hard-copy solicitation/amendment will be mailed or FAXed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by NAVSUP FLC PS. Offerors must also be registered in the Contractors Central Registration (CCR) in order to participate in this procurement at http://www.ccr.gov.
