STATEMENT OF WORK RENOVATION OF THE POT WASHING ROOM IN KITCHEN PROJECT# 187 1.General: a.The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not necessarily be limited to, providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits, testing, and reports required for the renovation of the pot washing room in the kitchen area of the basement in the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Facility. Any work determined by the COTR as having a significant impact on the daily operations of the facility shall be conducted on an after-hours schedule. All federal, state, and local code/regulations/standards shall be followed. b.The work will consist of renovating the pot washing room (CB-79), a wall on the outside of room CB-70 and one wall in room CB-78 In the kitchen area of the Wilkes-Barre VA c.The contractor shall site verify the project for obtaining and verifying all existing conditions details and dimensions of all sizes and any and all materials that will be need to complete the renovations of areas in the kitchen. The contractor shall complete the following work. The removal of the drywall on the walls, remove drop ceiling, remove the floor, replace the lighting, drywall the wall with Mold Resistant drywall, paint room, install stainless steel wall panels 5'high, install epoxy flooring and cove 4" high on the walls. The floor will be pitched to the floor drains, add/or adjust electrical and plumbing to support a new pot washing machine and all other work that will need to be preformed. It shall be the contractor's responsibility for any/all modifications and material that are required to install all products. The contractor shall be responsible for patch and repair any d. The above scope of work is intended to describe the project in general. The contractor shall abide by all Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) guidelines when performing this project. The contractor shall protect the floor from all construction demolition. e.The contractor shall follow all federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and standards, and all work shall be performed during normal business hours 8:00AM to 4:30PM Monday to Friday excluding national holidays. The work shall be coordinated through the designated Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR), Mike Somoga. All contractors shall have an identification badge on them at all times with their name and company clearly identified. 2.Demolition: a. Remove drywall from all of the walls. b. Remove drop ceiling. c. Remove the tile flooring. d. Remove metal studs (if necessary) 3.PLUMBING: a. May have to add, replace or redirect water line and drains to support the new pot washer. 4.Electrical: a.May have to add, replace or redirect electrical line and breaker to support the new pot washer equipment. b.New lighting for the ceiling. T-8lights 5. Carpentry: a. The contractor shall install Mold Resistant drywall on the all walls, new drop ceiling, stainless steel wall panels in the pot washing room. b. Paint the walls from the stainless steel to the ceiling. Colors will be chosen by VA. c. Repair wall in kitchen area opposite of the Pot Washing room with Mold Resistant drywall and install ceramic tile to match existing tile. d. Repair wall in room CB-78 opposite wall of the pot washing room with Mold resistant drywall and paint the whole room. 6. Flooring: a. Install epoxy floor with a 4" cove base. Floor will pitch to the floor drain.
