THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT, A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. No telephone calls will be accepted requesting a bid package or solicitation. There is no bid package or solicitation. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The USPFO for Arizona is conducting market research to determine the availability of firms that can provide the following service(s): Repair and replacement of deficiencies related to FLIR Milcam Recon III c ObservIR version with 2.5x Extender. Deficiencies as described below and detailed in the attached document: -Bubbling in rubber around the function buttons -Laser pointer non-functioning -Extender lens cover does not lock closed -Missing red lens cover for extender -Battery power cord plug bent -Missing extender lock button -Thermal lens on Recon scratched The Government will use responses to this SOURCES SOUGHT announcement to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A decision will be made whether to issue the solicitation as a competitive set-aside for small businesses, first priority, or whether to issue a solicitation as full and open competition (unrestricted), second priority. The Government invites contractors with the expertise and experience as described in the above Statement of Work to submit a Capability Statement consisting of appropriate capability documentation. Respondents must include a capability statement for, not simply a statement to indicate their interest. Questions regarding this announcement must be submitted no later than 5PM PST, Monday, April 9, 2012. Questions received after this date will not be accepted. Capability statements must be received by 5PM PST, Monday, April 16, 2012 in order to be considered. Responses received after this date will not be considered when making the appropriate acquisition decision. Capability statement must provide adequate information to allow the Government to make a determination as to whether your firm can satisfy this requirement. Your response must show experience that directly relates to the information provided. Questions must be submitted via email to kyle.matthew1@us.army.mil.
