- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE SOLICITATION # VA69D-12-B-0466 PROJECT # 578-12-090 RECONFIGURE PARKING LOT PHASE 4 at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital Campus, Hines Illinois. Contractor shall provide all required labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, instrumentation, and services to Reconfigure Parking Lot Phase 4 as outlined in the contract specifications, and as shown on the contract drawings. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal, reconfigure and replace the California and Kansas Parking lots, install handicapped accessible main entrance into Bldg. #1, install handicapped accessible pathway in Kansas, California and south of Bldg. #2, correct flooding at entrance to Bldgs #1 and #2 and replace storm sewers, replace collapsed storm sewer under Bldg. #20, grind/resurface Tripp Ave. underground detention basis under Kansas parking lot, and replace parking lot lighting with energy efficient LED lighting. Work is to be completed within 365 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The project magnitude range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238990; Small Business size standard of $14.0 million applies. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms. The SDVOSB must verified in http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov prior to bid submission. The solicitation will be issued on/about April 25, 2012 with the bid opening on/about May 25, 2012. Dissemination of the solicitation will be limited to electronic medium. Interested Bidders (primes & subcontractors) should register at www.fedbizopps.gov so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement and for automatic receipt of updates or amendments. Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at www.fedbizopps.gov. By registering to "Receive Notification", you will be notified by e-mail of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of bids. All requests for information are required to be in writing to the Contracting Officer at laura.silguero@va.gov. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Award is subject to the availability of funds. There will be pre-bid conference/site walk-through held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend.
