- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE AG-02RC-S-12-0056 Fortine Ranger District Kootenai National Forest Idaho / Montana Acquisition Team SUNDAY CREEK BMPs: PAUL CREEK CULVERT REPLACEMENT. Work consists of removal of 36 inches diameter (36-foot length) culvert and replacing with a contractor-furnished 66 inches diameter (38-foot length) CMP, placing riprap at the inlet and outlet of the new installation, and adding sufficient cover over the pipe. Two instream grade control structures will be constructed, one each at the inlet and outlet of the new CMP. Additionally, the existing 12-foot road width (14-foot subgrade) will be widened to a 14-foot road width (16-foot subgrade) where the road curves as it crosses Paul Creek. A 4-inch compacted lift of aggregate shall be placed over the new road construction and blended into the existing Sunday Creek Road. Crushed aggregate, as well as all other required suitable material and riprap not obtained from site excavation, will be obtained from Jim Creek Quarry at the end of the C-spur of Jim Creek Road (FS Road 3730C). An erosion control plan as well as a dewatering plan will be required. NOTE: Interested parties are encouraged to visit the worksite; no pre-award site visit is planned. To reach worksite, travel south approximately 20 miles on Highway 93 from Eureka to the junction of Sunday Creek Road 315 located in the town of Stryker, MT. Follow Road 315 through Stryker and continue for approximately 8.4 miles to the worksite at the Paul Creek culvert. Estimated Start Work Date: July 1, 2012. Anticipated Issuance Date: May, 2012.
