ANSWER:*****Yes, there is bandwidth backhaul; however, other users in the building will maintain current capabilities which Internet services is provided through Defense Research and Engineering Network (DREN), with Outreach services and the AF Military network...both DoD networks. According to AF security policy, these networks cannot share infrastructure.***** QUESTION:"It would make sense to talk to the provider of this bandwidth to see if there is an economical solution to share these resources." ANSWER:*****Security policy will not allow sharing infrastructure.***** QUESTION: "If this is not possible, do you know bandwidth providers near the base, such as Comcast or Verizon, from where a microwave link could be installed or dark fiber could be leased from?" ANSWER:*****There are other providers on base: Brighthouse, AT&T, Mid Atlantic Broad band (MABB), Knology, Southern Lights and Verizon Business Solutions. ***** QUESTION: "It appears to me, that there is a lot of Ethernet is already in the building. The wireless backhaul could be using the same PHY in a separate VLAN and the provide multiple SSID per wireless node. Would this be acceptable?" ANSWER:***** No, infrastructure cannot be shared with DoD networks.***** QUESTION: "If you have bandwidth on premises, how much is it? We feel that 100Mbit/s should be appropriate for the applications here. Would you agree with that?" ANSWER:*****Yes, we feel that would be sufficient, but we need to make sure it is scalable.*****
