- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport has a requirement for underwater explosive shock testing as defined by MIL-S-901D for the following units: TR-343 transducers, qty. 3; DT-592D transducer, qty. 1; DT-100, qty. 1; LASC Bottle, qty. 1 for First Article Test Inspection. This requirement will include one option for a second shock test for LASC Bottle, qty. 1. Vendors must be approved under NAVSEA Instruction 9491.1C, heavy weight to be considered for award. NAICS Code is 541380, Size Standard is $12M. This requirement is unrestricted. Further details will be provided in Solicitation #N66604-12-Q-1344, which is anticipated to be released on or about 04/19/12 and close at 2:00PM on 05/10/12. Vendor must be JCP certified to receive drawings and/or specifications, which will be provided upon release of solicitation # N66604-12-Q-1344. Submit via e-mail the solicitation #, your mailing address, JCP certification number, cage code, phone # with your request. Drawings and/or specifications will be mailed via USPS. If expedited delivery is requested drawings and/or specifications will be mailed via FedEx; however, contractors must provide a FedEx Account # to be FedEx ™d at contractor ™s expense. Basis for award is lowest price. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) and ORCA (http://orca.bpn.gov/) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the websites. Required period of performance is estimated to be 1 month ARO, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI.
