Description
Questions and answer Q Two different statements, Pick up twice a week, and pick up 6 days which is correct? Which containers are the trash and which for recycling? A Pick up shall be twice a week, Containers will be labeled Q. Facility manager @ 3695 E Olympic requested a recycling container, shall we provide? A. No Q. Noticed a 4 yd waste container that is being serviced is this location going to need a 4 yd container for solid waste? A. Yes the container will be located @ 1049 E Hill, 1- 4yd and 2 -3yd containers Q. Will the Contract Specialist provide current year pricing? A. Not Available Q. Will the LAJCC provide 2 large mobile containers one for wet, one for dry at the basement kitchen @ 1020 S Olive? How will it be utilized e.g. transported and dumped A. These two containers shall be provided by the proposer, one wet/ one dry Utilize transport and dump by normal business practices. Q. Please provide the LAJCC hours of collection A. TBD by the maintenance director and the contractor awarded the contract Q The contractor will be allowed a one hour variance in maintaining established schedules. Collections outside the schedule shall require prior approval. Is this statement referring to a one hour variance to the determined hours of collections? A. YES Q. Containers for dry / wet recyclables shall be cleaned every week. Designated containers for wet trash be hosed out twice a week after trash removal. Will the LAJCC consider adding a separate line item on Exhibit F for the pricing of the cleaning service. This service would need to be sub-contracted, and accomplished within the environmental rules, regulations and safety requirement (Fed / State) A. Wet to be hosed everyday Should be included in price, no separate line added. Q. The minimum percentage of recycling / diverting to be ninety (90%) percent of total tonnage removed. Please clarify if this is a number that the LAJCC needs to be at immediately, or is 90% a number that can be obtained after initial recycling program is set-up, tracked and improved upon. A. Immediately Q. Does the LAJCC have an extensive recycling program in place, if so what is the current diversion rate? A. Yes 92 - 93% Q. The past performance appears to be repeated twice.Please clarify the total number required for this proposal A. Five (5) minimum is required Q. Who is the current service provider? A. AAA Rubbish Q. How long have they had a contract? A. Not available Q. Supply us with the most recent 3 reports to diversion being claimed by th current hauler A. Not Available
