Project Description: This project is a stream restoration and fish passage improvement of three sections of the Northwest Branch which drains into the Anacostia River. Specifically, approximately 3000 feet, running downstream from Beaumont Road to the confluence with Northwest Branch main stem (known as the Sherwood site), approximately 1100 feet, running downstream from Layhill Road through the Northwest Branch Park Golf Course and 1850 feet running upstream from Layhill Road (known as the Batchellors Run I and II site), and approximately 2500 feet, along the Sandy Spring tributary, running upstream from Ednor Road (known as the Woodlawn site), located in Montgomery County, Maryland.
