- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Picatinny, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems intends to issue a solicitation for production of M1020 Mortar Ammunition Ignition Cartridges for 120mm Mortar Ammunition Programs. Production of the M1020 Mortar Ammunition Ignition Cartridges involves the handling of energetic materials.The solicitation will be restricted to the National Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB) under 10 U.S.C 2304(C) (3). Offeror(s) receiving an award will be awarded a Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The Government intends to make multiple awards, with a maximum number or awardees of two. The period of performance will be a five (5) year basic contract, with one (1) option period to extend the contract two (2) additional years for a maximum possible contract period of seven (7) years. The anticipated quantity for the M1020 Mortar Ammunition Ignition Cartridges effort is 164,251 and the maximum anticipated quantity for the entire contract period is 1,996,600. Future requirements will be competed amongst the offeror(s) receiving a basic contract award and may be based on technical, price, schedule, and/or past performance. The Government will evaluate offeror(s) proposals using the Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology in accordance with FAR 15.101-2.
