- HSCGG1-12-S-ASCC SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns or Small Business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238320, with a small business size standard $14.0M Million. The estimated total value of the procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000, including option years. This will be an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for a period of one year with four one-year option periods. Minimum guarantee is $5,000. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance and current relevant painting and floor refinishing experience, including personnel & equipment. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform paint and floor refinishing of Military Family Housing units, at Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, Massachusetts Military Reservation (MMR), MA 02542. Off-base government owned housing units located in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and interior painting of office spaces at Air Station Cape Cod, MA may also be contained in this solicitation. The contractor shall provide a comprehensive painting and floor re-finishing (P/F) program that will ensure quality housing is available to meet the needs of the government in a timely manner. Work consists of preparing and painting, surfaces (i.e., walls, ceilings, doors, closets, kitchen, cabinets, trim, molding, and other areas) and refinishing existing hardwood floors. Floor refinishing shall consist of either screening or sanding the existing floors and applying high-gloss polyurethane. In accordance with FAR Part 19, if your firm is one of the above small business concerns and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by email to gerald.j.fortin@uscg.mil with "Sources Sought for Solicitation HSCGG1-12-S-ASCC" in the subject line or by fax to (508) 968-6640. Your response should include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid for this solicitation as prime contractor; (b) a statement identifying your certified small business designation; and, (c) evidence of specific experience in the following areas: (1) Interior painting; (2) Floor screening and sanding in residential buildings. Include information for past projects - including contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers and, experience in performing the work under strict time constraints. Your response is required no later than 06 April 2012. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside, and solicitation type.
