- RFQ-AMENDMENT 01 Amendment/Modification 01 Summary of Changes: 1. The small business set aside is removed from the solicitation. 2. The hour and date specified for receipt of quote is changed to 12:00 PM local Seattle time on Wednesday, April 04, 2012. 3. All other terms, conditions and requirements remain unchanged. Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries located in Seattle, WA has a requirement for quantity of Two(2) with an option to buy additional Two (2) each Brand Name or Equal Seaguard Oceanogrphic Dataloggers, the equal instruments MUST meet the following salient characteristics: 1) Capable of going to at least 1200 meters ocean depth 2) Autonomuous data recorder which can store data from up to seven probes at one time at least 2 second interval data acquisition for at least 15 hours before download (>1 Gigabyte storage) with no cables necessary to computer or power during data collection 3) Robust design with probes that are stable, require little to no calibration (annual to semi-annual is ok) and of metal housings that can withstand moderate impact 4) Capable of quick and easy reconfiguration of probes without extended disassembly or returning to factory for probe replacement 5) Internal power for up to 20 hours before recharging 6) Data logger must be mounted in the horizontal position and with all probes functioning 7) Data logger can withstand up to 4 knot current with accurate data acquisition 8) Capable of measuring dissolved oxygen, ph, temperature, depth, conductivity, and turbidity 9) Include windows software for post-processing of data 10) Probe parameter specifications: Ph: accuracy=0.05 ph Resolution=0.003 ph Dissolved Oxygen: accuracy=<8 um Resolution=<1 um Temperature accuracy=± 0.03°C Resolution=0.001°C Conductivity accuracy=±0.005 S/m Resolution=0.0002 S/m Turbidity accuracy=0.05 FTU/NTU Resolution=0.005 FTU/NTU The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 334511 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. The government intends to issue a firm fixed price contract with required delivery date of no later than May 1, 2012. All interested parties may submit a quote. All quotations must be FOB destination NOAA NMFS RACE Division Seattle, WA 98115. Quotes are due no later than 12:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on April 4, 2012.
