Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR AVAILABILTY OF INTRAVENOUS MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION SUPPLIES ISSUED BY: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Division of Strategic National Stockpile (DSNS) BACKGROUND: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) is a national repository of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies designed to supplement and re-supply state and local public health agencies during a national emergency. The DSNS is considering alternate options for optimizing response capabilities and obtaining medical supplies needed to support a national health emergency. One option would be to procure certain medical supplies at the time of such an event. The DSNS is interested in obtaining information from manufacturers and distributors about the quantity and types of intravenous medication administration supplies that are available within their facilities daily. The DSNS is also interested in manufacturer ramp up time to produce additional intravenous medication administration supplies at the time of a national emergency; this would include time and quantity estimates. PURPOSE: This notice is being issued by the CDC's Procurements and Grants Office (PGO) to conduct market research in order to determine manufacturer and distributor capabilities to support and assist the Federal government during a national health emergency. CAPABILITIES TABLE: To respond to this RFI, please complete the table on page 3 using the following list of medication administration supplies. The DSNS acknowledges that any one entity may not be able to produce or acquire all the below items and so asks that you provide information only for those items that apply to your company.
