- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a limited-competitive basis to the following contractors: Pre-Mach Inc., York, PA, Major Tool and Machine Inc., Indianapolis, IN, Penn State Tool & Die Corporation, North Huntingdon, PA, The Entwistle Company, Hudson, MA, or Duhadaway Tool & Die Shop Inc., Newark, DE; for the procurement of Steam Head Assembly, P/N 626755-2, 1 First Article Unit, and 5 Production Units, with 2 Option Quantities of 4 Units each. Technical Data Requirements (TDR) 11-17012 Rev A, identified five approved vendors. The steam head is one of the major components that make up the Low Loss Launch Valve Assembly (626795-1/2). Certifications for all material as well as welding procedures and qualification data are required. All inspections called out in the drawing are required. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, or from only one or a limited number of responsible source, and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received within 15 days of publication of this notice. Any responses should reference N68335-12-R-0097.
