Description
Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Mission Contracting Office, (MICC, MCO) Fort Eustis, Virginia, Vessels Division, anticipates awarding a competitive Firm-Fixed Price, single award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a twelve (12) month base period and two (2) one-year option periods to provide Programmed and Unprogrammed Drydocking, Cleaning, Painting, Repairs and Modifications to U.S. Army Active and Prepositioned Vessels located at Muhammad al-Ahmad Naval Base and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait for U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Watercraft Inspection Branch (WIB) located at Fort Eustis, Virginia. The vessels are located in Kuwait at both Muhammad al-Ahmad Naval Base and Camp Arifjan. There are thirty-five (35) vessels at Muhammad al-Ahmad Naval Base and Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; one (1) Logistics Support Vessel (LSV 1/6); one (1) Logistics Support Vessel (LSV 7/8); ten (10) Landing Craft Utility 2000 (LCUs); one (1) Large Tug (LT-800); one (1) Large Tug (LT-Flt 3); four (4) Small Tugs (ST-900s); one (1) Crane Barge Derrick (BD-6800); two (2) Landing Craft Mechanized (LCM 8, Mod 2s); seven (7) Landing Craft Mechanized (LCM 8, Mod 1s), six (6) Warping Tugs (WTs) and one (1) Causeway Ferry (CF). Area of Consideration for this procurement will be the state of Kuwait only. The anticipated solicitation posting date is April 16, 2012. This requirement will be solicited as full and open. The applicable NAICS code is 336611, Ship Building and Repair, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. The entire Specification is obtainable upon request to the point of contact (POC) below. All other documents including the solicitation, W911S0-12-R-0010, and all amendments to the solicitation will be obtainable via the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi.
