- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is 100856A and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-57. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334510 with a small business size standard of 500.00 employees.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2012-04-04 13:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be White Oak, MD 20993 The DHHS FDA Office of Acquisitions and Grants Services requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001, Objective: The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) requires the purchase of a Surgical Cautery Equipment for performing animal surgeries, pre-and-post operative monitoring, and end points analyses of animal experiments. The Surgical Cautery Equipment will be shipped to the Food & Drug Administration, CDER, 10903 New Hampshire Avenue, Building 64, Silver Spring, Maryland 20993. Requirements: CLINQtyDescriptionPrice0011Surgical Cautery Equipment $ 0021Shipping Cost$ Requirements The Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER), Division of Drug Safety Research (DDSR) is a division dedicated to drug safety research. Much of DDSR?s work involves animal experiments. To create disease models and perform drug safety studies, the Division of Drug Safety Research requires survival surgery capability. The following equipment is required for performing animal surgeries, pre-and-postoperative monitoring, and end points analyses of animal surgical experiments. SPECIFICATIONS: The Surgical Cautery Equipment must include the following items and functions: 1)Power source must be US compatible;2)Monopolar cautery and bipolar cautery;3)Automatic current output adjustment according to tissue types;4)Double Foot Switch;5)Electrode Handle with Double Finger Switch;6)Monopolar and bipolar cutting;7)Bipolar and monopolar coagulation;8)Cutting and coagulation electrodes;9)Rubber Neutral Electrode. All equipment should include the first year of service and maintenance including parts and labor. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction.
