- Description
- NASA/LARC has a requirement for National Instruments Data Acquisition Modules andControllers.NASA/LARC intends to purchase the items from National Instruments. This hardware is tosupport existing National Instrument data acquisition systems currently in use at NASALaRC. NI is the sole proprietary for the hardware which is compatible with the customdeveloped software and data acquisition system already in use at NASA LaRC. It would takesubstantial duplication of resources and time for another source to provide similarhardware, and this additional expense is not expected to be recovered throughcompetition.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:30 p.m. local timeon 04/05/2012. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
