- The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) Contracting Office intends to award a firm-fixed price (FFP) contract to Azima DLI, 300 Trade Center Drive, Woburn, ma 01801. This contract is for supplies (Engineering Vibration Analysis Equipment and Software update). The reason why the above-named source has been determined to be the only supplier who can furnish the requirement is the vendor/contractor has proprietary rights to the engineering, manufacturing, and method of production needed to supply to the specifications of the requiring activity. Thus, the minimum needs of the Government can only be satisfied by the unique capabilities that the vendor/contractor possesses. There are no other known alternatives known including resellers or third party vendors that can legally purchase, sell, or share the software. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The NAICS code is 334415 and the applicable business size is 500 employees. This procurement will be processed as a sole source. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued by this office. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses are due by April 05, 2012 03:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), via e-mail to the assigned Contract Specialist, Reid Chambers, who may be reached through electronic mail at reid.j.chambers@navy.mil. For further information or questions regarding this procurement, please contact the assigned Contract Specialist via electronic mail. No telephone requests will be entertained. Responses must include company name, address, POC name, telephone number, fax number, county, CAGE Code, DUNS number, NAICS code, applicable business size, and Tax ID number. If no responses are received, NAVSUP FLCSD will proceed with the sole source award as prescribed above.
