- Description
- The intent of this solicitation and any resultant contract(s) is to obtain services of Light Fixed-Wing Aircraft fully operated by qualified personnel and equipped to meet specifications for use in administration and protection of Public Lands, primarily for use in the management of National Forests in the Northern Region on an Exclusive Use Basis. The designated base is Grangeville Air Center, Grangeville, ID the locations in and adjacent to the Clearwater and Nez Perce National Forests in Idaho located in Region 1. Aircraft may be dispatched to other areas throughout the United States. During the Mandatory Performance Period and any extensions thereof, the aircraft will be made available within the time frame required in the schedule of items. The Government shall retain operational control of the aircraft while performing under this contract. The light fixed wing aircraft furnished will be used for forest health surveys, detection/patrol surveys, air tactical coordination (air attack), incident support, and may also be used for project, law enforcement, and administrative flights. The Government has Interagency and cooperative agreements with other Federal and State Agencies and private landholders. Aircraft may be dispatched under this contract for such use. This solicitation will be advertised as a small business set aside. The contract period of performance will be for one base year with two renewable option periods.
