- The VA VISN 22 Contracting Activity, Long Beach California intends to enter into a sole source Consignment Agreement with Boston Scientific Corporation, Endoscopy Division, 100 Boston Scientific Way, Marlborough, MA 01752. This announcement constitutes the only notice issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. This Consignment Agreement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16. A justification for other than full and open competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Request for Quotation is VA262-12Q-0449. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 339113. This Consignment Agreement is for as-needed procurement of multiple types/sizes of endoscopic stents maintained on-site VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (GLA), West Los Angeles Campus (WLA) in advance of actual need for use and invoiced only when pulled for actual use in a medical procedure. The items requested under this consignment agreement are sole source: the technology is patented for the WalFlex stents. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will consider all proposals received by 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time Tuesday, April 2, 2012. Information received shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Solicitation document exists and can be requested by emailing the Contracting Officer to have a better understanding of the requirement.
