Description
Statement of Work (SOW) Appendix C (Culvert/Watercourse Crossing Information) Appendix B (Bridge Information) Appendix A (General Information) ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED. The contractor is responsible for pulling any and all local permits (e.g., dig permit, burn permit, utility-outage permit) required. All USCG-issued permits are free of charge. The objective of this project is to remove three (3) culverts located along a ½-mile stretch of abandoned, WWII, military earthen road to the west of the Buskin Lake on or near wetlands managed by the U.S. Coast Guard (Culvert# 1 is a 40.4 LF, 24" CMP; Culvert #2 is a 36.8 LF, 24" CMP (with trail washout on either side); and Culvert #3 is a 38.5 LF, 36" CMP.). Each culvert is to be replaced by a USFWS-designed water crossing. Purpose of this work is to restore the natural hydrology of the area by providing a healthy riparian habitat for juvenile and spawning anadromous fish (salmonids and char). Contractor must be IAW SOW. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: NONE. PERFORMANCE PERIOD IS 14-30 DAYS. WORK TO BE PERFORMED 15 JUNE-15 JULY 2012. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: Prior to ordering or procuring materials, and a minimum of twenty-one (21) days before start of work, submit three (3) copies of the required information to the Contracting Officer for approval. Include manufacture's catalog data, certificates, and other evidence indication compliance with the specifications Per Submittals Requirements of SOW. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the Government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable federal, state, and local construction and environmental regulations, requirements, best management practices, and standard operation procedures. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY Apr 11, 2012. A SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD Apr 26, 2012, APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS BEFORE QUOTE IS DUE. (Site visits are not mandatory, but are highly encouraged.)
