Description
S--Contractor is responsible for supplying all the necessary services, equipment, labor and materials to complete the herein described work in a professional and timely fashion. The Contractor is responsible for the security of the vessel and its components during the duration of the work. The work may include welding modifications/fabrications which shall be performed by a certified welder. All electrical work shall be performed under the direct supervision of an ABYC certified marine electrician. All electrical work shall meet marine standards with materials used to be "UL Marine Listed" - ABS classed and U.S.C.G. accepted. All paint is to be marine grade paints/coatings. All work is to be completed to meet manufacturer specifications and installed equipment warranty requirements. All work is to meet EPA and USCG standards. All equipment and work is to be warranted to the equipment manufactures warrant standards but no less than 12 months from the date of acceptance of the work. Fair trade-in market value of existing equipment that is replaced shall be applied to this work as a reduction to overall cost. This requirement NAICS is 336611 and the size standard is $7.0 million. It is currently set-aside for small businesses only. This requirement must be provided in strict accordance with the statement of work included in the request for quotation bid package that can be obtained from the Corp s' website. Only those vendors who can provide the requirement EXACTLY as stated in the specifications may provide a quote. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors requests for this solicitation must be performed through ASFI. Accounts may only be attained by CCR-registered contractors, you must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) to receive a government contract award. Bids can be submitted via e-mail or mail to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Contracting Division, Simplified Acquisition Team, 10 South Howard Street, 7th floor, Room 7000, Baltimore, MD 21201-2530. Available thru Federal Business Opportunities System (https://www.fbo.gov/index) The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge on or about 11 September 2009, to all authenticated account holders of Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System (https://www.fbo.gov/index). Please note that all Corps of Engineers acquisitions are considered Sensitive, But Unclassified Documents, and require users to have a valid MPIN entered in the FBO system to access package.
