- The USDA, U.S. Forest Service, Bighorn National Forest is conducting a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research ONLY to determine the availability of potential small business categories, such as 8(a.), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), or Woman Owned Small Businesses that are interested in performing this requirement. NO AWARD will be made from this SOURCES SOUGHT inquiry. No solicitation, specifications or drawings are available at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. Responses to this announcement are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responses will not be used for evaluation in any resultant solicitation for this requirement. The Government shall not be held responsible for any costs incurred in response to this SOURCES SOUGHT announcement. Participation is strictly voluntary. Respondents should also note that the Government will not return any information submitted in response to this REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. Respondents should not submit any proprietary information when responding to this REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. Only those firms responding to this announcement by submitting the following information will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990, and the associated small business size standard is $33.5 million. The multi-faceted construction project is entitled, Bighorn National Forest - Tensleep Canyon Recreation Site Improvements. The Government intends to make a single award for the rehabilitation of a 17 unit and a 25 unit campground, a 10 unit picnic ground and the reconstruction of 3 gravel surfaced parking lots. The work will take place on the Powder River Ranger District within the boundaries of the Bighorn National Forest located in northeast Wyoming. The principal features of the work to be performed under this contract will consist of, but are not limited to the following: 1. Replacement of existing toilet structures with precast concrete buildings. 2. Constructing handicap accessible trails. 3. Gravel aggregate overlay on existing parking areas. 4. Providing new information kiosks. 5. Reconstructing campground spurs to meet minimum vehicle turning requirements. 6. Replacing existing campground spurs to meet handicap accessibility standards. 7. Improving existing campground and picnic area furnishings with handicap accessible fire rings and picnic tables. 8. Upgrading traffic control signs with retro-reflective signing for improved safety, as well as, proper regulatory and recreation signs along highway. List of prior/ current corporate experience (private and/ or Government) performing efforts of similar size, scope and complexity within the past three years. Statements should include the following: a. Brief description of serves provided, to include dollar value. b. Customer/ purchaser point of contact with phone number and a description of the experience and how the referenced experience relates to the services described herein. Magnitude of the project is between $ 500,000 and $1,000,000.
