- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a solicitation, in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, for the preventive and remedial maintenance of the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system located in the IRS campus in Philadelphia, PA. This requirement is set aside 100% for small businesses. The solicitation, TIRNE-12-Q-00016, is anticipated to be available on or before April 1, 2012 on FedBizOpps, www.fbo.gov. The resulting order, if awarded, will cover a base period, anticipated to begin May 1, 2012 and expire September 30, 2012. Three 1-year option periods are included in the solicitation as follows: Option Period I: October 1, 2012 - September 30, 2013 Option Period II: October 1, 2013 - September 30, 2014 Option Period III: October 1, 2014 - September 30, 2015 The Internal Revenue Service will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). Questions in reference to this pre-solicitation notice must be submitted via email to Susan K.
